Dan has a background in health psychology, involving both research and clinical work informed by a dedicated mindfulness practice. Following completion of his doctoral studies, he has been involved in a wide range of research projects, including designing and co-authoring studies measuring the wellbeing effects of the Pause Breathe Smile programme. In addition to being a mindfulness facilitator for Pause Breathe Smile, Daniel is a registered psychologist with experience working in cancer and pain management. Alongside his work with Pause Breathe Smile, Dan maintains clinical practice in Auckland with the Cancer Foundation. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family, exploring nature, mountain biking, and playing music.
